Biography of Abdelhalim Hafez

Abdelhalim Hafez,born Abdelhalim Chababa February 6, 1929, in a small village called "Halawat, Sharqia" (Egypt), was an egyptian singer.

Abdelhalim Hafez graduated from the Academy of Arabic Music in 1948 then he joined the Egyptian radio in 1952.
Abdelhalim Hafez did not meet success at the very outset of his career but, in a very short time, his soulfoul voice bewitched everyone and his big talent became obvious.
During the 1950s, 60s, 70s, Abdelhalim Hafez, alias « Al Andalib Al Asmar » (Dark nightingale), sat enthroned on the arab music as the favourite singer of all generations.
Abdelhalim Hafez acted and sang in some 16 movies. His songs are still hummed by young generations, listened inside cars and played on radios as in parties.

AbdelHalim Hafez remained single till he died.
